First, you must decide what you want to do with your airgun. Hunting is not possible with a half-power plinking rifle, and most full-power sporters are unsuitable for gun shooting in a small back garden.
That may seem a bit basic, but far too many airgunners buy guns that are totally unsuitable for their needs. If you make that mistake you will never get what you want from your shooting no matter how hard you work at it.
To help you do some research:-
Checkout magazines, join a forum on the internet or visit a local airgun club. Speak to other airgunners that you know. Also dont forget that the best gun for you is not always the most expensive gun. Once you have found the type its time to deside which model...theres plenty to chose from... You can chose the accessories....ie scope, silencer, sling etc. Similarly if you are a junior or slight of build then a medium size gun could suit you better that a full size sporter. |
